Thanksgiving

My favorite foodie week has arrived…hello, side dishes! I’ll take allllll the sides with a bite of turkey. 😉 I love this week and day so much because it’s cold, cozy, and a big dose of family time! Plus, Black Friday shopping but let’s not get ahead of ourselves yet.

Our Thanksgiving day tradition is running the 5k Turkey Trot in town, grabbing a newspaper (to pick out Black Friday favorites), watching the Macy’s parade before we take a nap to DIVE into the main event of eating ALLLLL the sides. I’m ready….are you!?!

Thanksgiving Decor

After having a surplus of mini pumpkins from a Halloween class party, I decided to spray paint them gold and silver to give them a whole new look. Once this happened, I was on a roll and began updating all of our Thanksgiving decor with metallic accents!

I used left over real pumpkins; however, after loving the look, I found some artificial pumpkins that I can DIY to keep this look for future years!

These Artificial Pumpkins are great for DIY. The Spray Paint I used included: Metallic Gold // Metallic Silver // Glitter Gold // Silver Glitter // Clear Glitter // Orange Glitter

On our buffet, I created this tablescape with the pumpkins and tea lights!  Acrylic Candle Set // Flameless Tea Lights // Faux Silk Eucalyptus Garland

Now for the Dinner Table…

As I went to set the table this year, I realized we were running low on a couple key items. Luckily Amazon had us covered and I was able to quickly get our favorite Wusthof Steak Knives and we restocked our wine glass cabinet with these White Wine Glasses and Red Wine Glasses.

Holiday Tip: No one likes to do the dishes, so make it easier on yourself this holiday season and use these premium plastic place settings. They look great and are durable enough for multiple portions of turkey and stuffing!

I was skeptical at fist to use disposable, but these settings got my husband’s and my mom’s approval… win-win! Also, it’s a fun way to switch up your setting decor on a budget. These Blue & Gold Settings are on my list for our next dinner party!
